If you want a hamster you'll need to know alot about the kind of hamster that you would like.So,research.Find books about it or go online.Find an appropriate space for its cage.Make sure you have enough money to buy supplies for it regularly.If you know the kind that you want,find a nice sized cage for it.It should be big,but not too big.If you saw mine,I had 2 so I needed alot of room for them so they wouldn't fight.(Anyways,your not supposed to house 2 together under ANY circumstances.Unless you want them to fight or you want alot of little baby hamsters.)You'll need to get a ball or,Like I have,a wheel car or carrige.(I HAVE ALL 3!)You'll need to have a wheel,a food bowl,a water bottle,food,water,bedding and chew toys in the cage at all times.Some tubes for it to crawl through would be nice.They also need alot of time outside of its cage so make sure you can play with it and give it attention.Keep the room temperature cool.60s & 70s are good.Go and get your hamster.Make sure you get it from a good petstore like PetSmart or Petco .(Make sure you can see online or at the store if they have the hamster that you want.)Make sure you watch them.They need to wear down their teeth because they grow fast.So,get them the right kinds of chew toys.Wood works good.But,wooden play blocks.Not material building wood.That can hurt them.Remember that they are nocturnal so dont freak out if it makes alot of noise during the night or dosen't move alot during the day.Have fun with your hamster!!!!!!!Below are some good names to name your hamster.
